Harvey Pekar 1939-2010
Just as I'm preparing to start submitting this strip to a few comic strip websites, I learn that Harvey Pekar of "American Splendor" fame has passed away. The frustrated everyman perspective through which he approached his work was a big influence to me in creating this strip. Granted, "Ralf" isn't nearly so bleak in tone as "American Splendor" tended to be, but the influence is there just the same, and I thought I'd take a moment to acknowledge it.
Pekar left an indelible mark on independent comics. May he rest in peace.

Hello and welcome to the debut of my comic strip "Ralf". Well, to be honest, it's not exactly a debut. More a resurrection of a character I doodled in the margins of notebooks way back in high school. Depending on how things go, I hope to update weekly. Feel free to leave your comments!
